The design engineers were searching for a suitable lining material for the area of the sulphuric acid neutralisation tank in the course of new development at the refinery Jamnagar (India) belonging to the leading chemistry group, fulfilling highest requirements concerning durability at temperatures up to 120 °C as well as chemical resistance to highly concentrated sulphuric acid. To guarantee the highest welding quality, to save costs, time, and for efficient on-site fabrication, SURE GRIP concrete protection liners were required in place of acid brick lining for the neutralisation tank. The ECTFE SURE GRIP wall components were fastened to the formwork, then they were welded together and casted with wet concrete.
